Wii Fit Plus

Buy Mario Kart Wii with Wii WheelIt's time to dust off the balance board because you'll be back doing Wii Fit and now Wii Fit Plus is more fun than ever.

Now I must tell you that Wii Fit Plus isn't actually a 'sequel' to the original Wii Fit, but it contains many similar games, such as yoga and strength training, but takes it to a new level.

There are also a lot of new games and additions here to make it a much better purchase. I'm saying this to those people who haven't yet got the first game because once you have this one, you'll never use the first again.

But for those that do have the original Wii Fit, you can easily convert all your profile and workout data through to Plus.

What's New in Wii Fit Plus?

So let's first go over what improvements have been made and what's new in this version.

Firstly, taking ideas from EA Sports Active, they now have preset workouts that you can choose from rather than just choose random exercises (which you can still do as well if you want).

You can choose your workout routine based on different goals you want to acheive: weight loss, specific exercises for upper or lower body, strength and so on.

You still have the four main categories: Yoga, Aerobics, Strength Training and Balance Games but there are more variety and challenge to many of the games.

And of course the new games.

The New Games in Wii Fit Plus:

Here is a list of the 15 new games that you get with the Wii Fit Plus:

Perfect 10 - You have to bump your hips into the numbered 'mushrooms' to make up either 10, 15 or 20, depending on what is required.

Island Cycling - You cycle around the island collecting flags by using the remote to steer and moving your feet on the Wii Balance Board to 'cycle'.

Rythym Kung-Fu - You need to mimic various kung-fu moves on screen using the remote, nunchuck and balance board. This game is really cheesy and totally fun.

Driving Range - A golf game which is surprising good.

Segway Circuit - You will drive a Segway around the island trying to pop balloons.

Bird's Eye Bulls-Eye - In this game you need to flap your arms to fly from target to target to collect points. I'm not sure how the wii balance board picks up the flapping but it does and it's super fun.

Snowball Fight - You will be throwing snowballs at invading Mii's and dodging to avoid getting hit in return.

Obstacle Course - Really fun game where you run around an obstacle course avoiding wrecking balls, jumping over falling logs and walking sideways.

Tilt City - You need to tilt both yourself on the Wii board and the remote to get the balls in the containers.

Rhythm Parade - You are the drummer in a band and have to march and drum in time to the music

Big Top Juggling - You'll be on top of a big ball while juggling other balls.

Skateboard Arena - Skateboarding around a track which includes ramps and rails.

Table Tilt Plus - Similar to the one in Wii Fit original, you need to get your ball through the holes.

Balance Bubble Plus - Similar to the original Bubble game, you are in a bubble and need to navigate around a maze.

Basic Run Plus - Again an extended version of the jogging game which gives you new tracks. This time you are also quizzed on what you saw on your jog.
